Simplify Networks is a top managed services provider offering solutions Rack & Stack, Installation, IMAC, hosted phone systems, cloud solutions, SIP trunking, call center services, dedicated servers, and call recording.

Most small businesses end up with a phone system by accident. Someone set it up years ago, it has worked well enough since, and nobody has looked at it properly in a long time. It usually only becomes a problem on the day something breaks and there is no one obvious to ring.

We run business phone systems for companies across the UK, typically between ten and fifty staff. We host it, we look after it, and when something goes wrong you speak to an engineer rather than a script.

Desk phone and monitors on a small business office desk

What it costs

Fifteen pounds per user per month. That includes the system itself, the hosting, the monitoring and backups behind it, and the support when you need it. For a team of fifteen people that is a predictable monthly figure you can budget for, with no separate charges for the things that ought to be included.

We will give you the price on the first call. There is no discovery process to sit through before anyone will tell you a number.

What you actually get

Your staff get the things they expect from a modern phone system. Extensions that follow them to an app on their mobile, so a call to a desk phone reaches them wherever they are. Voicemail that arrives by email. Call recording where you need it for training or compliance. Queues and out-of-hours routing, so calls go somewhere sensible at half past six rather than ringing an empty office. And the ability to work from home without anyone calling you noticing any difference.

Support that fixes things

This is the part that tends to matter most and the part most providers are vague about. When you report a fault it goes to engineers who work on phone systems every day, not to a general helpdesk who will pass it along. Calls dropping, one-way audio, a handset that will not connect after the broadband was changed, a queue routing to the wrong place — these are ordinary problems for us and we deal with them rather than escalating them somewhere else.

We are based in the UK and we also have our own field engineers, so if something genuinely needs someone in the building, that can be arranged rather than declared impossible.

If you already have a system

We can very often keep it rather than replace it. Moving an existing phone system onto our hosting is usually cheaper and far less disruptive than starting again, and you keep your numbers and the setup your staff are already used to. Our moving an existing phone system page explains how that works, including what happens when nobody can remember the admin password.

Which platform we put you on

We are not tied to one vendor, and that matters more than it sounds. Some businesses are best served by 3CX, which we host and support and have deployed across London and the rest of the UK for years. Others are better on FreePBX or one of the other platforms we run. We will tell you which we would put you on and why, rather than selling you the only thing we sell.

If 3CX is what you are after specifically, there is more detail on the 3CX system itself, on 3CX call centre and contact centre features, on the mobile and desktop apps your staff would use, and on the website live chat that runs through the same system.

Common questions

We only have a dozen staff. Are we too small?

No. Small businesses are exactly who this is built for.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?

Yes, in almost all cases. Moving numbers between providers is a routine process and we handle the paperwork for you.

Do we need to buy new handsets?

Usually not. Most existing desk phones can be reconfigured to work with the new system. We will tell you honestly if yours are too old to be worth keeping rather than selling you a box of new ones.

What happens when something goes wrong?

You contact us and an engineer looks at it. Faults with calls, audio and connections are what we do, not something we pass elsewhere.

Are we tied in for years?

Ask us about contract terms on the first call and we will be straight with you about it.

Where we work

We support businesses across the UK from our London operations centre, and because a hosted phone system is managed over the internet, where we sit makes no difference to how quickly a fault is dealt with. We have pages with local detail for Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and we cover everywhere else on the same terms. Wherever something needs doing in person, we have our own field engineers rather than a subcontractor you have never met.
