One server at a time
Only one server was ever out of service, so the rest of the environment kept running throughout. Each swap followed the same steps: confirm the right server with the site contact, controlled shutdown, remove the existing processor, fit the new AMD EPYC 9555P with fresh thermal compound, reassemble and power on, then pass post-checks before moving to the next server.
